YUNGJAI: The Sound of Arguing with Yourself.

Adjustments.jpeg

YUNGJAI is a talented young artist that has been at it for a while now. His newest tape “AntiSocialExtrovert” is a quick dip into his mind and way of thought dipping on the idea that, JAI feels like no one can really touch him because of his need to always improve and strive. It’s hard for JAI to communicate in the public world and he finds himself arguing in his own head a lot. This is a sign of a true artist and his ideas surpass the skull in his head and end up right on his newest 4-track EP.

“AntiSocialExtrovert” is a tape filled with atmosphere and curiosity. The tape is four tracks long and runs a little under 10 minutes. Each track has it’s own energy while still staying seamed together by YUNGJAI’s unique vocal takes. JAI takes on a low key type of deliver and reminding us a lot of the likes of Night Lovell, on this tape. “Genocide+” and “NotSpecial+” are probably our favorite because, while keeping the creepy energy, both of these tracks have a way of being insanely catchy. The whole tape has impact and is not lacking in any sort of energy. The perfect way to kick off your morning.

Rivr: A Young & Diverse Sound.

River is a young up and coming artist with a fun and immersive soun. He is 21 years old and spends his time creating music for you to cry with or dance to or even, committing crimes too. Rivr recently released his tape “Really Rad Volume 1” which is, full of diverse instrumentals and hard hitting grooves. “Run & Tell” opens up the whole tape with a left field and hard hitting sound with wild vocal takes and bouncing flutes. Rivr is going insane for a good minute before the full drum beat comes in and sets the whole vibe. This whole tape is full of great tracks with a fun energy. Tracks like “Party Music” and “Obama Runtz” will get the party rolling while tracks like “All Alone” and “Yung & Rich” will get the whole club drunk. Rivr brings a fun party energy but, at the same time he can, experiment and get wild with well thought out mixes and atmospheres. Rivr is a promising young artist who is really experimenting with sounds and his music. Check him out right now.

Alexander.4g: A Voice that Rides the Bass.

Alexander is a 21 year old artist from Memphis, TN. He has been producing and engineering music for around three years and hasn’t looked back since. Alexander just recently started releasing his own music and now has 4 singles under his belt and an EP on the way! He doesn’t feel like he fits in well with the typical Memphis sound but, this is what truly sets him apart from the artists around him.

“Superman” is one that caught our attention and one of his most recent releases. The track features a hard hitting bass line that battles with a guitar to take the main stage as Alexander goes nuts with catchy hooks and well thought out verses. This track is worth the few minutes of your day that it will take. Alexander.4g has a lot of potential on his future path.

Rapbaum: Beach Sounds with a Video to Match.

Adjustments.jpeg

Rapbaum is a young star upcoming in the scene with wavy guitar and vocal melodies. Inside of “Message In A Bottle”, we find Rapbaum in a melodic rap state; delivering quick lines with melodic undertones to glide over the instrumental. The guitar is plucky and mixed to perfection by making it the stand out sound. The track in itself has a great way of transporting you to any beach in your head, almost instantly. From the soft drum loops to the legatos through the guitar, Rapbaum captures a moment and place perfectly. The video is also just as good as the track. It shows Rapbaum in a sunny set of scenes smiling his lyrics to the camera. From the choppy blurred cuts to the beautiful beach scene, this video keeps the energy at an all time high the entire time. This is an underground track and artist that we highly recommend.
