Marc Bravo has had an impressive run this year for someone in the underground. Creeping up on half a million plays on his newest tape, “ALLURE”; Bravo has really inserted himself into the modern day of music by blending classic genres and sounds.

A perfect example of Marc’s sound would be “Cascade”, the soulful and atmospheric hip hop wave. One of our personal favorites and obviously Marc’s as well because, he just put out a great video with crisp and clean clips. In the video, directed by Bob Almighty, we can find Marc enjoying a beautiful scene. The sun is shining and Bravo is smiling away as he raps his verses smoothly in various different settings. This video is beyond well done and Marc as well as, Bob; both deliver quality art for us to enjoy once again.

Otto Meech: Back with a B-Sides to His Best Project Yet.

Otto Meech recently released his bass booming and melody grooving tape, “New & Improved 2”. This tape was filled with quality banger after quality banger and Otto is back with eight new editions to the original tracklist. Tracks like ‘T.Herro” and “Gilligan’s Island” even outshine some of the already classic sounding waves from the original tracklist. Otto has proven time and time again that, he is ready to make consistent and professional music. This man is one of the few people we have met that we would be willing to bet he will go far.

Big Pete is a Huston artist that creates cloudy mixes with punch and bang. Taking inspiration from Huston legends like DJ Screw and Swish House, Big Pete created a atmospheric and dark textured sound inside of his newest tape, “INVISIBLE TOPS”. The tape ranges in from sounds and feelings but always keeping a warm texture and a hard hitting mix. Big Pete’s producer did a great job by mixing his voice tightly into every track. There’s a classic mixtape feel to this song that speaks volumes because tracks like “ !0 HOZ IN DA HOTEL LOBBY” & “BILL$”, take on a iconic and memorable sound right when you press play. Big Pete, along with his producer, are beyond their year and just a couple steps away from mainstream success.

Jonela Cartier: A Hollow Angel Creating Emotion with Every Track.

Jonela Cartier is a new artist joining the bunch who has been locked away in the studio working on new waves. All leading up to his album, “Broken Bad w/ Sorrows”, Jonela has been cutting up quality instrumentals and taking the time to write well thought out lyrics. He plans to release this album sometime in February of next year and we can’t wait after hearing “Hollow Angel”.

“Hollow Angel” was accompanied by a quality video that gives off the same energy of old SESH videos. Along with the quality video, the track itself is a dark and poetic dive into Jonela’s mind. Using an almost emo sound to lead the way, Jonela mixes tendencies from hip hop and punk music alike to create a nice blend that could be considered modern day emo rap.
