TYRELLSKRT: Music for the World from a Small Reservation.

TYRELLSKRT is a new artist from Shiprock, NM. Taking influence from hardcore punk and indie music, TYRELL, has been creating his own sound since; 2016. His influnece stems not only from the punk world but, to the hip hop world as well by; digesting sounds from the likes of Chief Keef and Eddy Baker. TYRELL has worked with a lot of friends and even created a music scene around his small town. TYRELL has a real goal to just make it out of the small reservation he’s from and create music for the whole world.

TYRELL has built up quite a hype around himself with his emotional guitar riffs that get stuck in your head. Songs like “LET DOWN” really shows off the direction TYRELL is taking his music. Mixing punk sounds with trap rhythms and intoxicated vocal recordings. These are songs to drown in, while letting out all your tears. TYRELL is one of the few artists we come across that we would be willing to go all in on. His talents are beyond his already crisp quality. If you gave TYRELL a record deal, he would without a doubt; make it back and some.

The Third: A Classic Hip-Hop Sound is Growing.

The Third is a new rapper busting out of the scene in Chicago. As well as, a poet and rapper, Third is an educator. His writing steamed from poetry his father wrote as well as his mentor; Dr. Groove. The Third has got his name around from featuring on Hamilton, Pitchfork, and The Daily Show. The Third just recently released his debut album which is an, introspective piece that admits to moving forward and showing love to friends and family. The Third is wise beyond his years and it shows in his well written lyrics and structures.

“Hopin’” is one of Third’s tracks that really stood out to us because it obtains a super classic and analog sound. This track could’ve been dug up from 40 years ago and you wouldn’t know the difference. The amount of warmth and space in this track is so perfect on the ear. Every sound fills a space and mixes together give you the nice warm product that is “Hopin’”. The Third is no joke and more than perfect for any classic hip hop fan.

N3KO: A New Exciting Track for Anytime of Day.

N3K0 has been making music for three months and has made great progression since. Unbound by rules and genres, N3KO along with her collective, “++”; create some genre bending music inspired by a Hyperpop foundation. 

“chems.wav” is the most recent production from N3K0 and laces. laces created the beautiful instrumental whole N3K0 provided well thought out and written lyrics. The two create a dark take on a bubbly and electronic sound. Synths and electronic waves fill the mix as N3K0 carries the song with industrial textured vocals bouncing from note to note. This track is more than a great time and worth a listen. 

Makai Keyes: A Future Sound to Get Accustomed to.

Caden Makai Moniz a.k.a. Makai Keyes is 20 years young and creating some of the best quality production in the underground. Out of Northern California, Makai creates a blend of genres and uses his inspiration from hip hop music to lead the way. Makai got most of his drive for music at a very young age when his parents gave him the taste and material to create. Up until 2018, Makai spent a lot of his time working on his craft under different names and sounds. He spent the time to understand the process on many different levels and genres and came to a conclusion with the hip hop inspired sound of Makai.

“NO LOVE IN THE HILLS” was released by Makai in October and its a beautiful blend of all these genres Makai was focusing on prior to his rebrand. From punk riffs to electronic accents. Makai blends all these sounds with hard hitting hip hop influence to create cut edge mixes that had power and grace. Tracks like “WAY BACK” & “DISTANCE” really show off the blend were talking about. All and all, Makai is creating a sound all for himself and the time put into every track shows in the final product.
