codyneedshelp is an artist that started making music in early 2018. Ever since then he has been hammering away at his craft to create a sound of his own. The Houston, Texas native sings melodically about emotional stress and sadness. The instrumentals feature hard 808’s and rhythmic guitar chords. His eye for song making is powerful and anyone who can relate to his music is bound to fall in love with just one song. Catchy hooks and emotional verses create fun and danceable songs with sad emotional undertones. His new song “you’re breaking me” with underground emo rap artist, Lil Narnia, will sure have you blasting and singing the lyrics at the top of your lungs.

“you’re breaking me (feat lil narnia)” is a hard hitting and good quality track that blends elements of hip hop and punk to create that classic emo rap sound that we’ve seen take over the world in the modern day. The vocals are all so well written and catchy. On top of that, they we’re well recorded and lil narnia goes insane at the end with intense vocals to create this epic resolution for the song. It feels so satisfying to listen to. Check this track out right away.

B.Cave is a hip-hop artist and producer from Middleboro, a suburban about 40 minutes south of Boston. He started producing on Ableton sometime in 2016 and began writing and recording about a year later. He quickly realized this was his passion and what he wanted to pursue from there on out. After graduation from college in 2019, B.Cave moved to LA to pursue a career in music. He now lives in Koreatown with some close producer friends from MA, working on music, making connections and building his management company, Booming Bay. Recently, B.Cave released his EP ‘The Scenic Route,’ a 5 track journey inspired by Venice Beach and the feel good vibes it brings. Produced & mixed by Max Mitchell and B.Cave, mastered by Big Jerm. Some of B.Cave’s main inspirations stem from the likes of Kanye West, Jack Harlow, and above all else, Mac Miller.

B.Cave is a versatile sound and he’s going to prove that with an upcoming tape in November that takes on a much different sound then the happy go lucky sound we get from “The Scenic Route”. That being said, this Venice Beach inspired tape is nothing to go ignored. Tracks like “Bare Feet” & “Us Two” really show off that sunny and happy vibe we’re talking about. Without a doubt, this EP captures the sound B.Cave was working for and we’re excited how he changes it up with the next one. B.Cave is more than worth a chance. Take a few songs in and we’re sure you’ll fall in love with one of them.

XYO: A New Album Inspired by Tragedy.

Adjustments.jpeg

XYO (pronounced XO) is a Ghanaian recording artist from New Jersey. His influences include the likes Kid Cudi, Kanye West, Jay Z, Kojo Antwi, and Daddy Lumba. Recently, XYO dropped his debut  album “Jungle” and the title track which, was inspired after, having conversations with friends and family about the deaths of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor. As most of you know both fell victim to police brutality and the unjust system we are raised in.

“Jungles” is a tape that explores many sounds. It jumps through hoops to bring you to a conclusion with atmospheric sounds and banging drums. Every track has a great mix and quality attached with it. It’s easy to get lost in the track listing because the flow of each song is so seamless and well placed. Some of our favorites is the intoxicated “Real Talk” or the sexy “Fwb” instrumental that instantly puts you in a new world. This tape is long but does not lose your attention for a second. That being said, the tape as a whole still runs under 40 minutes and is the perfect length to dive into a new artist tonight.

Lil Stewie an upcoming artist from the U.K. He lives in the South West of England in a city called Plymouth. He started making music during Quarantine to pass the time and claimed to instantly fell in love with it. It quickly became a way to vent his emotions as it does for many others, listeners and creators alike. He has been living with Crohn’s Disease since he was 12 years old and because of this he had to give up playing football among other passions. Now a days Lil Stewie fills the time with gym trips and rounds of golf, as well as, creating music. He stays very positive about the hand he was dealt and Lil Stewie is constantly working on getting better in and outside of music. His passions for music is strong and it shows in his very tape. He has an ear for witty instrumentals and has a unique way of putting himself on them. “Don’t Worry” is one of our personal favorites from “New Chapter” because it instantly takes you into another world. A lot of these songs have that in common. Every instrumental is very unique from the next and as an atmosphere all of its own. Lil Stewie also opens up a lot through out this tape really letting you know who he is. “New Chapter” is worth checking out without a doubt.
