LOVEKAPONE: A New Tape To Bang At Night.

Adjustments.jpeg

LOVEKAPONE is a new artist emerging out of the now, infamous, Corpus Christi. You know he has all those southern influences with wavy leads and drums that bang. On “LOVERBOY”, Kapone’s newest work, you can find a lot of futuristic sounding beats with crispy flows. “Missed Out” has a very psych hip hop vibe and a lot of tracks along this tape switch it up but this core sound runs throughout. 1Million, one of our personal favorites has a bright beat and a beat that slices thru the mix like butter. Kapone shows us why he deserves a spot on your playlist.

Say Yes, Do Nothing: Making Tunes to Enforce Change.

Adjustments.jpeg

Say Yes, Do Nothing is a special band from across the seas in London. They write songs that become a way of social commentary and poetic street reports on personal run ins with controversial topics like racism and abortion. They’re true to their name all the way down to every lyric. It’s easy for all of us to say “yes” or agree with what we think it’s right but, it’s a lot harder to help make that change with your own to hands. Many of us never will. A recent gig review by Rock Box raved, “Say Yes Do Nothing combine north London grit with Nashville dirt to produce a distinctive mix that’s both timeless and aggressively up-to-date. Antics such as throwing band t-shirts and paper dosh (fake, I think…) into the crowd grabbed the attention but never detracted from takin’ care of the real business at hand... It’s a while since I’ve witnessed a set with as much sheer drive and ‘hey, look’ as this, yet clearly underpinned by deeply rooted Americana song craft.”

In solidarity with the Black Lives Matter protesters across the USA, Say Yes, Do Nothing, a Yank Rock band from London, have covered Buffalo Springfield's "For What It's Worth".

Matte Sounds: Float away with this Spacious Jam.

Adjustments.jpeg

Matte is a 23 year old artist that has built an interesting sound with engineer Mike Major. Matte began his interest with music at a young age. He learned the keys and not too much later, picked up the drums. Matte was found playing drums for various bands and rappers at live shows and it wasn’t until, around the time he graduated high school that, he started making his own beats. Now, you can find Matte and Mike in Oakland, California, working a perfecting their already crispy sound.

Matte Sounds delivers a great psychedelic video for his track “Numb”. This track is a fun and laid back song with bounce. The bass adds a deadly amount of funk to the mix that you can’t help but, slide with. Matte shows off his lyrical ability as well as, his creative vocal stylings. He created a well thought out track with structure and intelligence. Every section flows seamlessly into the next and Matte sounds crispy the whole way.
